THE ZEROES! BEST & WORST OF THE DECADE

IT WAS THE BEST OF TIMES, IT WAS THE WORST OF TIMES…

It was the first decade of the 21st Century but now it’s gone, just like a stream of cat atoms flying through space. And like many of you, I’m still not sure what to call it. Was it ‘The 2000’s,’ ‘The Noughts’ or ‘The Noughties?’ Personally, I think a more fitting moniker is ‘The Zeroes!’

So to mark the passing of this dearly departed decade, I invited a collection of friends, colleagues, sworn enemies and known felons to give me their ‘Best and Worst’ film picks of the past ten years. Of course, coming up with a definitive list is practically impossible to do without suffering a near-fatal brain hemorrhage, so I asked instead for a list of ‘Reasonable Contenders’ and I can tell you that the results are often surprising, sometimes staggering and frequently depressing.

This episode marks the beginning of a series of shows collectively titled, The Zeroes: Best and Worst of the Decade and features the vocal talents of Last Chance Lance (Rue Morgue Radio), Mike Felsher (Red Shirt Pictures), Peter Kuplowsky (Toronto After Dark Film Festival) and last but not least, the Teutonic Terror himself, the Deutschland Destroyer, the one and only Dr. Uwe Boll (House of the DeadPostal).

Slooshy well!
